ALC  Committees
The Leadership Committee works hard to develop strategies for our ALC members to better lead their teams. We also construct ways for ALC members to help other people on their teams become a strong and effective leader. Being a leader can be difficult but the best way to learn is by making mistakes and correcting them. We want to find those ways to correct the mistakes. We not only want to find ways to help just our teams but also influence kids that are interested in sports. The following quote helps to further describe our committee.

Before you are a leader, success is all about growing yourself. When you become a leader, success is all about growing others. —Jack Welch

The Spirit Committee has three main responsibilities and goals. First and foremost, we endeavor to think of new and creative ways to increase awareness of sports games and encourage more people to attend the games. Secondly, we create new cheers that can be implemented by our fans at our games and lastly, we search for fun, creative ways to get the fans involved in games and use these new cheers.
The Community Service Committee works to better La Canada through charity work outside of LCHS as well as support fundraisers for athletics on campus. This year, in order to involve La Canada athletics in the community, ALC, with the guidance of the Community Service Committee, participated in the Shoebox Drive and volunteered at the Child Education Centers.  Through the Shoebox drive, ALC donated sports equipment to underprivileged children. ALC's volunteer work at the CEC included organizing sports games for the elementary aged children. On campus, the Service Committee assisted in organizing the volleyball event, dig for the cure. The goal of ALC's Community Service is to benefit La Canada through student involvement and raise awareness for the athletic program.
